The app

Peekwick is a city visit guide for families. The app and the place page texts are free. The audio guide for a city is paid.

The audio guide

• What you buy: the audio stories for all the places in a city, in an adults version and a children's version, and their updates. The all-cities pass gives you the audio guide for all of Peekwick's cities, [including cities added later: to be confirmed].
• Who it is for: the whole family, on all the phones linked together in the app, with no limit on the number.
• The price: the one shown on the purchase screen, in your country's currency. One single payment, no subscription.
• Payment: only through Google Play or the App Store, under their terms.
• Before buying: one place per city can be listened to in full, and the start of every story is free.
• Right of withdrawal: the audio guide is digital content supplied as soon as you buy. By starting the purchase, you ask for it to be supplied right away and you give up the withdrawal period, as the French Consumer Code allows. For a refund, contact Google or Apple, who handle payments.

Your contributions

• Contributing needs no sign-up. To give a review, a tip or an answer, you must have been to the city: the stay is confirmed by the phone's location, or declared on your honour.
• You remain the owner of your contributions. You allow us to display them in the app, to translate them and to adapt them to the screen, free of charge, for as long as they are online.
• A contribution must be true, useful to families and respectful. The following are forbidden: insults, advertising, personal contact details, shocking content, and anything that makes it possible to recognise a child.
• Contributions go through an automatic check, and sometimes a human one. We may refuse or remove a contribution, and, in case of repeated abuse, remove a family's right to contribute.
• You can edit or delete your contributions at any time.

Information on place pages

We check the texts against reliable sources. But opening hours, prices, works and closures change: check on site or on the official website before you leave. During visits, children remain the responsibility of the adults with them.

Partner links

Some ticketing links (GetYourGuide, Tiqets) are partner links: we earn a small commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. The official website is always offered first. These links never appear on the children's phone.

Ownership

Peekwick's texts and audio stories are protected. Photos come from Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, under the licences shown in each city's credits. Maps come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL licence), displayed by OpenFreeMap. The voices of the stories are synthetic voices.

Your account

You can delete your family's account at any time in the settings (see peekwick.com/delete-account). We may suspend an account that does not respect these terms.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be published at peekwick.com/terms, and the app will tell you before any important change applies.

Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write first to contact@peekwick.com. You can also use the consumer mediator free of charge: [mediator to be appointed].
